Through this partnership, the duo aims to unlock added value in the field of dynamic electricity tariffs, which until now could only be utilized in either very complex partnership models or not at all.
Now, energy suppliers can quickly and easily offer their own dynamic tariffs with Preisenergie’s expertise – a crucial aspect, as these tariffs must be mandatorily offered starting in 2025. Then, gridX can seamlessly integrate the pricing data provided by Preisenergie in collaboration with energy suppliers into its smart energy management solution to enable optimizations based on this data. Until now, end customers had to obtain a dynamic electricity tariff either from the same provider that supplied their energy management system or, if the HEMS partner did not offer its own dynamic tariff, rely on third-party providers specifically integrated by gridX. This is now changing: With the standardized interface of Preisenergie, gridX can quickly and easily perform optimizations based on dynamic prices for any new tariff partner. "Optimizing based on dynamic tariffs has so far been a complex interplay of many interlocking components. Tariff-agnostic optimization for households now possible
With the new collaboration between gridX and Preisenergie, households and energy management providers are no longer bound to a specific electricity supplier. Thanks to Preisenergie’s data, gridX can now optimize not only purely exchange price-oriented dynamic tariffs but also other tariff models, such as dynamic tariffs including all grid fees and levies, time of use tariffs, or Critical Peak Pricing tariffs.
