Munich, 17 December 2024 – As the year comes to a close, gridX, Europe's leading smart energy company, announces a groundbreaking partnership under its "Ready for gridX" cooperation model with the Asian manufacturer SolaX Power (SolaX). This strategic cooperation caps off a successful year while marking the beginning of deeper collaboration within the energy sector. The goal of this latest "Ready for gridX" partnership is to unlock new market potential and develop innovative sales channels. At the same time, the two partners aim to elevate the interoperability between their products to a new level.
In the initial phase, the certification and integration of three key SolaX product lines will be integrated into the "Ready for gridX" ecosystem. gridX first introduced "Ready for gridX" in early June. Through strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers (OEMs), the smart energy expert aims to reduce the complexity of interconnecting energy assets from different OEMs, ensure seamless integration in energy management and guarantee a cutting-edge, easy energy experience for installers and users. Specifically, the objective is to offer a plug-and-play installation without configuration effort and to ensure stable operation throughout the lifecycle of the assets. This stability allows users to benefit from the smooth integration of their home energy setup into the electricity market over the long term.
Close integration for optimal implementation
The initial focus of the partnership is on the integration and "Ready for gridX" certification of the three SolaX series: X3 Hybrid G4, X3 Ultra and X1 IES. Future integrations of additional SolaX products, such as wallboxes or heat pumps, are planned. Collaboration with gridX ensures that SolaX customers can utilize all gridX use cases – including control under §14a of the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) and dynamic tariffs. The partner companies place particular emphasis on closely integrated processes during implementation and throughout the entire lifecycle management. This allows SolaX customers to benefit from smooth connectivity and optimized functionalities, increasing the effectiveness of their photovoltaic (PV) systems. "gridX is the leading pan-European specialist for HEMS. This gives us access to entirely new target groups and sales channels. Installers and technical planners will love the intended plug-and-play installation and the extensive combination possibilities with other devices that arise through the 'Ready for gridX' certification," explains Josef Guan, Country Manager of SolaX Power.
"Ready for gridX": Guarantee of interoperability between energy systems
With "Ready for gridX," gridX emphasizes its commitment to ensuring technical reliability, including data security and interoperability, for the increasing share of renewable energy in Europe’s power consumption. "Through the 'Ready for gridX' product certification, we guarantee the highest technical reliability in data communication and control between us and our partners. This reliability is indispensable as the share of renewable generation in European power grids continues to grow. It elevates the interoperability of energy systems to an unprecedented level," says Tobias Mitter, Chief Technical Officer and Managing Director of gridX. The close cooperation with SolaX seamlessly aligns with gridX's strategy of integrating leading manufacturers into its partner ecosystem, offering the "best in class" among end-to-end energy management systems. Mitter emphasizes: "SolaX Power is a quality leader among the rapidly growing Asian inverter manufacturers. Welcoming this OEM into the circle of our closest partners is a remarkable achievement for our smart energy management solution and the energy sector." Together, gridX and SolaX aim to actively shape the transformation of the energy market and provide their customers, end users and installers with an optimized user experience.
