How has infrastructure evolved?
Charging points have double over the past 2 years. However, the growth does not match the numbers in new EVs.
Can this EV growth be handled?
More new EVs have been registered in 2020 than in the previous 4 years combined. This puts pressure on the infrastructure.
Will we see queues at fast chargers?
At the moment, one public fast charging point serves 74 EVs. Tesla drivers enjoy far more availability. The American car maker provides 1 CP per 27 cars.
How fast is "fast charging" in Germany?
Speed varies significantly among fast charging points. Only 17% provide more than 150kW while 16% charge with less than 40kW.
